The unlikely pair were spotted chatting and swapping phone numbers at Whisky Mist in Mayfair and a source told the Mirror: “Paris and Wills really hit it off in the club.

“William gave her his Blackberry number and email address after Paris thrust him hers.

“She then sent him a cheeky text the following day, basically saying ‘thanks for a super-fun evening’. Some of William’s mates saw it and have been taking the mick ever since.”

The socialite is said to have invited the prince, who is second in line to the throne, to the US to join her at the opening of her new nightclub in the infamous party city after he completes his endurance motorcycle ride across South Africa.

The source added: “Although flattered by her attentions, William doesn’t think he can justify the jaunt – and has politely turned her down.

The paparazzi darling and reality TV star touted her candidacy in a video on FunnyOrDie.com yesterday – her second appearance in a political spoof on the site.

“Running for fake president is a little daunting,” a heavily made-up Hilton tells Martin Sheen, whom she calls “one of our greatest fake presidents”.

“Being a fake president is a lot harder today than it was when I was a fake president,” says Sheen, who has often played American presidents, most notably on TV’s The West Wing.

Hilton talks with Sheen about “Fo Po” – “Foreign policy, silly” – and shares what could be her real views on the economy and the war in Iraq.

“Iraq has a Democratic government that is asking for us to leave,” she says.

“It seems that we’ve done our job and we should bring our troops home safely.”

Economically, “this is the biggest depression since The Notebook,” Hilton says of the tear-jerking 2004 movie, adding that the government should “lower inflated interest rates so it’s not impossible for (people) to pay their mortgage.”

As Sheen tells Hilton she’s “going to make a great fake president”, his son, Charlie Sheen, pops in with a promise to “fake vote” for her.

Hilton bids the elder Sheen farewell with a kitten-voiced “Bye, sexy”, then tells the camera: “See you at the fake inauguration.”

The 27-year-old heiress said in a statement that she hopes the video inspires people to consider the issues and vote in the real presidential election.

“I hope that my political opponents take in consideration the points that I have addressed because I feel that they are important and, as well as that my generation and the new young voters should become more involved with our current issues and speak their voice through voting,” Hilton said.

“This is the most important presidential election in decades and voting is the only way that you have a voice for change.”

The hotel heiress and the actress, who used to be close friends, both attended the producer’s bash at Hollywood nightclub Avalon and were not happy to see each other.

Sources claim Lindsay pointed at Paris and said: “What the hell is that b***h doing here? I didn’t know she was on the list.”

To which, Paris replied: “F**k off you b***h.”

Lindsay and Paris were both hoping to convince Timbaland, who has worked with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and 50 Cent, to revive their faltering music careers.

A source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Both saw the party as an ideal way of getting him on side – but they didn’t count on the other being there.”

Lindsay – whose last single I Live for the Day flopped after receiving no radio airplay – arrived at the bash first and immediately made a beeline for the hit producer.

And Paris is hoping to raise awareness of the problem, after hearing about an incident in Meghalaya last week.

Six tipsy elephants were killed in a paddy field after coming into contact with a high-tension electric pole outside the Indian village of Chandan Nukat.

‘There would have been more casualties if the villagers hadn’t chased them away,’ Paris tells the Daily Star.

‘In Tinsukia, the elephants smashed huts, plundered granaries and broke open casks to drink rice beer. The herd then went berserk and killed people.

‘And 4 elephants died in a similar way 3 years ago. It is just so sad. The biggest problems are in Assam and Meghalaya. The elephants are drunk all the time.

‘It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them.’
