Britain’s Heat magazine reported, “As soon as he could, Owen thanked her for her e-mails and phone calls. Now they plan to meet when he returns to LA from Texas. Owen is elated about the prospect. He’s in excellent spirits now, though they are determined to stay off the radar during the early stages.”

According to OK! magazine, Kate and Shepard “have indeed split” without him ever knowing that he’s been dumped by the man-eater.

“Dax got a phone call about it from a friend,” a source close to Shepard tells OK! “He’s upset that she didn’t bother to say anything to him.”

To make matter worse, Kate reportedly has found a new man already as she’s been spotted “in the Big Apple with billionaire party guy Ron Burkle, and many insiders are whispering that she’s already moved on.”

Kate has been romantically linked to Shepard soon following her break up with actor Owen Wilson. The movie siren and the Punk’d star fueled dating speculation after they were snapped sharing a passionate embrace at the actress’ family Muskoka getaway early in August.

The lawyer also said Owen did not have his stomach pumped, and while he had been taking anti-depressants, his attorney was unaware of “any other drugs in his system at the time of the incident.”

Though police reports confirmed Owen had “attempted suicide”, the Santa Monica City Attorney’s office has announced it will not be releasing the 911 call made in connection with the incident.

The City Attorney’s office said in a statement yesterday: “In reaching this decision the City believes that in many instances no person should have to worry about whether placing a call for emergency assistance will automatically make his or her medical request open to public review.

“In balancing the competing interests, the City agencies outweigh the public interest served by disclosure of the emergency 911 call. In situations such as this, the City concludes that the public is best served if medical attention is promptly sought instead of being delayed because of a concern, real or imagined, of public attention, regardless of whether that publicity is sympathetic or not.”

Meanwhile, actor Steve Coogan – who co-starred with Owen in Night at the Museum – has denied allegations he supplied Owen with drugs, or encouraged him to use them.

Coogan told US TV show Access Hollywood: “My thoughts are with my friend Owen at this difficult time, but I do want to set the record straight and say that the allegations published today are completely and utterly false.”

The British actor’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Love  a close friend of Owen’s  claimed Coogan was partly responsible for Owen’s suicide attempt.

Love said: “Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t comment but I care too much about Owen. I went through this with Steve. I was just out of rehab and he was right there with the drugs. I tried to warn Owen. I tried to warn his friends.”

A very relaxed Kate Hudson and barefoot Owen Wilson take an afternoon bike ride together through Queensland’s Surfer’s Paradise Beach on Sunday in Australia.

Just two weeks ago, Kate and Owen were spotted snuggling up together at a private movie screening.

Kate and Owen have been romantically linked since co-starring together in last year’s You, Me, and Dupree.

Kate separated from rocker hubby Chris Robinson in August but the divorce has yet to be finalized. They have one son together, Ryder, 3.
