The star reportedly checked into Utah’s Cirque Lodge and has been in the facility, which deals with substance-abuse problems, for several weeks.

The Cirque Lodge is the same facility in which fellow Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan was treated last year.

Her management have confirmed the glamorous star, who has been applauded for her clean-living and healthy body attitude, has been at Cirque Lodge Rehab for several weeks.

Her representative released a statement saying: “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to pro-actively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.

“Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”

The 33-year-old star of We Own the Night has just been named the new face of Calvin Klein and a stint in the favoured rehab centre of Lindsay Lohan is not likely do her career any favours.

Eva, who has also starred in films such as Hitch with Will Smith and Training Day with Denzel Washington, is a former face of cosmetics giant Revlon.

Her management have not revealed how long she will be receiving treatment for in Utah.

In the latest calendar photographer Marino Parisotto recreated myth and redefined fairytales like The Little Match Girl, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, so that the female protagonists have their fragility transformed into strength and power.

“The Campari Calendar has been a truly unique experience,” said Eva Mendes. “I had never posed for a calendar before and I was thrilled that Campari has given me the opportunity to interpret these wonderful stories… who wouldn’t want to live a fairytale even if for a short while?”.

Gruppo Campari CEO Bob Kunze-Concewitz said Eva was the perfect choice. “She is an international star with great flair and has interpreted the Campari Tales with passion and sublime grace.”
