Jaime: I was no body double

Stunning Jaime Pressly has laid to rest rumours she was used as a body double for Drew Barrymore in Poison Ivy.The My Name is Earl actress says she was mistakenly thought to have been the naked stand-in for Drew, who never appears in the sequel, because stills of Jaime were used in the second film.

She told Playboy magazine: “Drew plays Ivy in the first Poison Ivy film, and in Poison Ivy 2 Alyssa Milano plays the art student who moves into Ivy’s old room in a house with other students.

“She finds a diary and pictures of Drew’s character in a closet. The pictures are supposed to be of Drew, but they’re of me, though you never see my face.

“When Alyssa reads Ivy’s diary – Drew’s diary – she imagines her, but instead of Ivy being Drew, she’s me.

“People say I body-doubled her and it was my boobs and my ass in the movie instead of hers, but that isn’t the case.

“I haven’t had a body double myself, but I’m not opposed to it.”

‘I won’t say what little things I always take with me, but I never go without my sense of humour.

‘I take it as my job to be the court jester. To remind whoever it is that whatever they are going through they can still laugh.’
And Drew says her pals returned the favour when she recently split from The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.

‘My friends do exactly the same for me,’ she tells Elle magazine. ‘We all go through break-ups and we all feel it, whoever we are.’

Well, it looks like Drew and Spike are ready to go public with their rumoured new relationship. The two obviously had a great time in Hawaii for Drew’s birthday and headed back to the beach last night for a romantic dinner at the Ivy at the Shore in Santa Monica. Who knows if it’s serious but Spike seems a good match for Drew, he’s quirky but in a cool way – they look good together – I’ve always seen her a little bit naughtier then every other female actress.

In an interview with Jane Magazine the actress claimed her liberal attitude towards sex will continue.â€œIâ€™m a sexual, free, fucking nudist little bird running around and a wood nymph when it comes to sexuality.â€

She added: â€œWhen you get ideas, donâ€™t just let them be fleeting thoughts that flow into the universe, so that later you look back and think: â€˜God, I wish I had done something about that.â€™

Another â€˜Charlieâ€™s Angelâ€™ has been hit by the spiltsville curse. Cameron Diaz has parted ways with Justin Timberlake, and now Drew Barrymore and her long-time beau Fabrizio Moretti, the Brazilian drummer for The Strokes, have broken up.

The 31-year-old actress has apparently ended her relationship with the 26-year-old rocker because â€œthey needed time offâ€. According to Us Weekly, Moretti is now living back in his old apartment.

But insiders suggest the split, which they say is due to Moretti’s dislike for “the Hollywood stuff” and because “he doesnâ€™t get her friends,â€ could be short-lived. “This is exactly what happened last time they took a break,” the source said.

Coincidently, The Sun recently reported that Barrymore would like to meet ‘Borat’ star Sacha Baron Cohen because she has a â€œthing about weird menâ€.

Perhaps, the “brilliant” Moretti was just not â€˜weird enoughâ€™. However, as both Barrymore and Morettiâ€™s representatives have declined to comment, Cohen’s partner Isla Fisher neednâ€™t be too concerned about Barrymore moving in on her guy.
