“Britney writes she has heard voices talking to her for years,” reveals an insider. “She still hears them, and they tell her to run away and hide. She knows they are not real, but she can’t get them out of her head. She writes that once she was sitting on the couch in her Malibu home when she started answering questions the voices were asking. She would be sitting with her mother, her husband Kevin and other people — talking to voices. They were shocked!” (Print Edition – 2/16)

The singer, 27, is thought to be concerned about how well her concerts will be recieved.

Her dad Jamie is even said to have called in doctors to help calm her down.

‘Britney is in danger of not going on tour as she has been having paralysing panic attacks,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘Every time there is a crisis, Britney screams and cries and locks herself in her room.

‘She has been telling her doctor she feels under pressure and ill when she thinks about touring.

‘She is worried about being on the road, and fears that her performance will be branded a flop.’

The Circus tour starts in New Orleans on 3 March.

Britney Spears rocked her 27th birthday with a circus-themed birthday bash at trendy club Tenjune in New York City on Tuesday night, December 2. Joining her at the star-studded party among others were Lance Bass, Jeremy Piven, Robert Buckley, Ciara, and supermodel Heidi Klum. Her manager Larry Rudolph and mother Lynne Spears were in attendance too.

To tie into the release of her sixth major studio album “Circus”, Britney had Tenjune being transformed “into a giant circus tent, complete with a hot dog stand and popcorn and cotton candy machines emblazoned with her name,” it has been reported. What’s more, there were also a man on stilts and jugglers outside the building.

The birthday girl arrived into the party scene wearing a low-cut Roberto Cavalli cocktail dress that showed a lot of cleavage. She smiled throughout the night, mingled with her guests, and also struck some poses with several people.

Asked by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier before entering her soiree what was her birthday wish, Britney said, “A million more wishes! Come on…..Do they take us for fools? How can they do such a photoshopped promotional photo for her album, Circus? She looks son unnatural! I can’t even look at her. I’m totally dissapointed – this is not a comeback – this is fraude.

The former couple surprised fans by joining the star on the LA leg of her Sweet & Sticky world tour at Dodger Stadium.

Brit, 26, performed Human Nature and Justin, 27, sang 4 Minutes.

Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum and Kate Moss were in the audience.

Meanwhile, Britney was awarded Act Of 2008 and Album Of The Year for Blackout at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool last night.
